Micro instead of center court: Becker not at Rune in Australia

Boris Becker is back at the Australian Open as a TV expert. But not from on site, but from Munich. But that also means: He will not accompany his protégé Holger Rune in Australia.

The collaboration between Boris Becker and the Dane Holger Rune will probably not be as close as with Novak Djokovic. At least if you take their working model for the Australian Open for the rest of the year as an example. Boris Becker will be commentating on the games at the first Grand Slam tournament of the year from the studio in Munich as a TV expert for the broadcaster Europsort - and will not travel to Australia.

What role does Severin Lüthi play?

Which of course also means on the other hand that the three-time Wimbledon winner cannot provide on-site support in Australia. It will be exciting to see whether Rune relies more on ex-Federer coach Severin Lüthi to help him work on the pitch and looks to Becker for advice on mental issues.

It's quite possible that the Wi-Fi connections between Melbourne and Munich will be really hot from next year.
